Steps at the appliance

Open the appliance's setup screen
From a laptop on the appliance's staff or service network, open the Centre setup screen. It runs on port 3000 of the appliance.

Enter the Centre identity
Setup step 1 asks for this site's centre ID, its address and its time zone. A centre ID uses capital letters, digits and hyphens, for example HYD-01.

Connect to Provion Core with your key
In setup step 3, Connect to Provion Core, enter one activation key (PVN-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) and the serial number printed on the appliance. The appliance generates its own key pair; Provion Core certifies it, and the Centre's private key never leaves the appliance.

The Centre enrols
The appliance enrols with Provion Core using the one-time token it received. Where the plan requires hardware attestation it proves its identity with its TPM 2.0 chip first. The Centre then appears in Provion Core and Provion Watch.

Keep keys private until you are at the appliance

A key is bound to the first centre that activates it. If activation is interrupted, retry from the same appliance with the same key and centre ID.
